This makes me believe my headset is still functioning and that the audio mixer is still functioning as well but has left me clueless to the problem I am having with detecting the device through Windows 10. My sound card devices have been unaffected and surprisingly I am still able to hear my optical audio through my Astro headset. It appears as though my computer is not detecting the headset at all. I use a Creative Labs Sound Blaster Zx to provide the optical audio for Dolby surround sound but still use the default headset usb audio and microphone for voice chat.Īfter not using my headset for about 4 weeks over break while I was out of town I returned to discover that usb recording and audio devices no longer appear on my playback devices or recording devices tabs. I've had my Gen1s for about 4 years and they have worked great with little to no problems.
